ABOUT US

Plasszo Plastics Pvt. Ltd.

Plasszo Plastics Pvt. Ltd. works for the collection of plastic scraps, create awareness on safe disposal of plastic wastes. Activities includes; collection of scrap, segregation, grinding, washing and grading of incoming waste for further recycling.

Since Invention of polymers during 1933-60, its functional advantages , versatility in properties , light weight, flexibility in design and non-bio-degradability in nature, inspired plastic processors to process a wide range of plastic products.

Plastic enhances life of human beings, boosts economic growth, reduces energy consumption. It’s innovation in packaging reduces food wastage and increases shelf-life of food, providing the nation's food security in the current scenario of ever increasing population and rapid urbanization.

In fact to manufacture plastic it needs less amount of energy as compared to metal and glass, in this way plastic helps world towards sustainable energy consumption.

Since the evolution of plastic, 8.3 billion metric tons of plastic has been produced and has accumulated as post-consumer waste. So, it has gradually become a huge burden on the environment, showing visible and worst impact on environmental pollution.

For example 0ut of 8.3 billion tons of plastic manufactured, 130 million Metric tons itself of PE used; 34% of it alone goes for packaging which has very less lifecycle and contributes maximum on environmental pollution.

Tremendous growth of use of plastic and also use of consumer products pose a very serious threat to the environment and requires every citizen to take part in its safe handling and disposal.

Enormous air, Water and Soil pollution caused by non-biodegradable nature of plastic waste thus generated has compelled the govt. to formulate a comprehensive waste management policy that is being implemented now to effectively tackle the menace of plastic pollution. But, tackling of air, water and soil pollutions still seems a distant dream.

In 2018, United Nations observed “World Environment Day” in India , with the theme “Beat Plastic's Pollution”. The govt. of India declared that, India will stop the usage of single use plastic by year end 2019. But, are there any alternatives available with us to replace plastics?

Answer is a big ‘NO’ because possible alternatives like metal and glass consume more energy in their respective manufacturing and provide more carbon footprint in the environment.

We are facing ban on plastic that is being imposed by govt. of India and hence plastic manufacturing units are facing a huge challenge i.e. providing lacs. of people their livelihood and they are on the verge of losing their jobs.

But plastic ban is not the real solution; One should consider the advantages of plastics’ inherent properties: - reuse, re-engineer and re-design them through proper re-cycling and disposal.
